The electrical chain Electronet was looking for an aesthetic and functional upgrade of the online presence to develop its online sales, but also to strengthen the network of more than 80 physical stores.
So Netstudio’s team was chosen to design from scratch the company's image on the Internet, which should of course be accessible not only from desktop computers but also from any mobile device.
In every site, and especially online stores, the loading speed is crucial. A known experiment of Amazon verified that for every 100 ms delay of page loads, sales decreased by 0.7%. Speed is a significant matter we experience in our daily internet browsing, for this Google states that speed affect the ranking in organic results as well as the cost per click on AdWords campaigns.
So electronet.gr, beyond the usual graphics optimization techniques, server, protocols, advanced and innovative optimization techniques used, making navigation and search experience on the site almost instantaneously after the response time is less than 200ms!
Interfaces and Automation
The automation of product information procedures, stock and orders are essential to every high standard e-shop. Thus, several interfaces with internal chain systems and courier companies, were developed.
With over 80 physical outlets across Greece, it was necessary to have a map to easily locate the stores. More important however was the easy search according address or ZIP or region (even misspelled) so the user can automatically find the nearest store, based on his current location. The system will easily find the nearest stores shown in the map by suitable zoom in/out.
A major asset on the new site of electronet is FindasticTM. A sophisticated plugin for filters and smart search, trademark of Netstudio. Indeed, in this version of the search function not only in the singular, plural, toned, insipid, Greeklish, but even completely misspelled.
Meanwhile, synonyms machine brings results even for words that are not contained in the title or description of the product. Try eg searches such as air condition or conditioner!
Mechanism creating offers, packages, discount coupons
The innovative mechanism Netstudio Promotion, which allows administrators to create within minutes simple or complex promotions, such as offers, bundles, coupons, and their corresponding landing pages and cross selling messages on checkout page. For example If the administrator will make a special offer concerning free transportation to those who buy a washing machine for the next 10 days, then an appropriate message will be displayed for maximum effect. The available combinations and possibilities are only limited by his imagination!
The product comparison mechanism has two advance features: Product comparison from different pages and categories, and easy comparative table displayed with different color characteristics in order to easily detect unsimilar characteristics which differ from product to product.

We provide the possibility to the user to find any product with an intuitive graphical interface. Just click on the appropriate photos and within seconds are the expected results.
Purchase integration (checkout) with emphasis on usability
Every step of the checkout process was redesigned, making it more functional and understandable. Supports both guest checkout and normal checkout, but even if the user selects guest checkout, we create an account that can be activated by the user whenever he decides, and full orders history will be available.
Moreover, the possibility is given simply by the introduction of the Zip Code, the user can choose the nearest store.
Many other small details make the experience more pleasent, always aiming to optimize the conversion rate.
Excellent user experience to administrators of e-shop
Easy management of the e-shop is necessary as the information needed (new offers, banners, slides, blog posts etc).are in daily basis. So, we designed the management process to be easy even for the most simple, "non-development minded" user.
To support the needs of Electronet B2B we build a mechanism which automatically recognizes B2B users and display wholesale prices, activate payment methods for wholesale customers, etc.
